I’ve been working with Amy Green of Simply Sugar and Gluten-Free, creating some new branding as well as a new website for her! It’ll be launched soon, but I’m so excited that the logo I worked hard to create will be featured on her cook book, which will be released soon! You can check that out on Amazon. If you’re interested in cooking and baking healthier recipes that are free of processed sugar and gluten-free, I highly recommend checking out her cookbook and blog! I get great recipes from her site all the time, and I’m excited I’ll be able to have her cookbook on my kitchen counter sooooon

New Girl’s Life Illo
Breakup Dos and Don’ts! This was a different piece for me, usually I’m always assigned something cute and cheery for Girl’s Life, this one had a little more seriousness to it – so the challenge was how to keep it from looking tooooo depressing. I thought doing a split of the positive and negative ways to deal with breakups was a good solution, a way to show the “serious” nature of the article, but to still have the opportunity to keep it in a palette attractive to pre-teens.

So I keep watch on the games I designed – things that make me happy, reviews that say “Cuuuuuute” and “Love the artwork!” because that’s alllll me on those games! Equally pleasing, that my same issues with the programmer, are the same issues everyone else has with him. He really should step it up. Anyway – lol, if you want to check out my “cute” and “lovely” game Cloud, it’s free right now so download it! And don’t forget to review it – and I won’t be hurt at all if you want to talk about the fantastic artwork and crappy programming.
New Stationery Available!
Preppy and modern doggy stationery now available! As well as matching address labels. As a big doggy lover I thought it only fitting that I do some chic stationery designs. My favorite is definitely the dog silhouette with preppy stripes.
Be sure to check out all my goodies in my Etsy store!
Recent Logo Designs
I find myself working on a lot of identity pieces lately, and I love it when I get to do illustrative icons within the logo. Here’s a few that you can really see are all quite different from each other. The gun one hasn’t been finalized, I was working on some ideas last night and I really like how the revolver illustration turned out. Not sure between the two which is my favorite.
I loved working on the Sugar Snapshots logo with Kristina, one of my fave clients ever! And the top left was for Kim of Cook It Allergy Free, whose blog and iphone/ipad app you should definitely check out if you have any kind of food allergy (on a side note, I designed her blog too!).
I love Little Passports, I just enjoy all the projects I get to work on with them, and I get a great opportunity to be a part of something fantastic for kids. One of the things I enjoy are that the projects are all about other countries – since that IS what LP is all about – so I get the opportunity to illustrate subject matter that I may not be familiar with in a cultural manner. I love doing the research on each country’s background and making sure that my illustrations stay true to each culture. Here’s a few country stickers I designed, India, London and Mexico!
I love the color of the sky in London – though I imagine London is probably more bleak. Enjoy!
Finish Last Days of Summer
Autumn Rumours
I love the fall, ice cream shops and gossiping girls! New promo piece I printed as a postcard. I think I’ll do a some more in the same vein with different seasons. I love drawing cute outfits – initially I had planned for an entirely interior scene, so the I had drawn the two gossipy girls in the background full length with cute leggings and boots. But then I decided I liked the idea of separating the characters, making the two in the forefront more private and the girls in the background, even more gossipy because the boy and girl are so wrapped up in what they’re doing they can’t possibly notice they’re being talked about.
